On February 7, 2008 the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) at its Delegate Assembly meeting in Ontario, California recognized Union Pacific's Principals' Partnership Program for its support of high
school principals throughout the nation.

Frank Gomez, ACSA President-elect, presented the recognition award to Scott Moore, Vice President of Public Affairs, Union Pacific, Western Region. The award was given to honor and thank Union Pacific and the Principals' Partnership for its outstanding support of California's secondary students
by providing high-quality professional learning and resources for secondary principals.

ACSA commended Union Pacific for understanding that well-educated graduates are essential not only for the success of its company, but for all companies as well as all communities throughout our nation. Union Pacific has turned this understanding into action by creating the Principals' Partnership, which has a goal of building strong schools by assuring that our schools
have strong leaders. The Principals' Partnership provides world-class professional learning for high school principals, which is focused on the skills principals need to build strong schools in their communities. In California alone, the Principals' Partnership has provided support to 25 school districts, 177 schools, 181 principals and nearly 35,000 students.

Additionally, the Principals' Partnership has supported more than 500 participants in ACSA's Summer Institute for Principals and the New Principals' Colloquium.

"ACSA is proud to honor and thank Union Pacific for continuing it corporate legacy of citizenship and community support by creating and sustaining the Principals' Partnership," said Assistant Executive Director for Educational Services George Manthey.
